Pepperstone & ATP Tour

The Pepperstone x ATP Tour partnership as Official Online Trading Partner was a multi-year global sponsorship deal aimed at building Pepperstone's brand awareness and reinforcing the brand associations with elite sport and global performance.

Pepperstone had naming rights to the Pepperstone ATP Rankings, Nitto ATP Finals and on court branding across umpire chairs, net judge boxes and ranking boards.

I led the creative direction for the partnership launch and campaign rollout across digital, print and OOH channels.

I came up with the creative concept to use blue Pepperstone branded tennis balls as a way of building an association with the Pepperstone brand and the ATP Tour. The idea was simple, but effective and was able to be utilised as a creative device that could be adapted in static and animated formats across channels. Real blue tennis balls were produced as part of merchandise gift packs for Pepperstone staff and clients.

OOH formed a key channel for the campaign to build awareness about the partnership globally. Creative was produced for print and digital placements, as well as a tram wrap in Melbourne to promote the partnership around the Australian Open.

Ups and Downs

Working with my senior digital designer and building upon the initial launch of the partnership, we created a 30 second TVC as part of a campaign extension that explored the parallels between tennis and trading, navigating the ups and downs of markets and your game. I collaborated with a freelance sound designer to record the score and the video was localised into German and Italian.
